Mel Coleman
Therapist | WellBeing Sanctuary
Mel (she/her, they/them) is a therapist at WellBeing Sanctuary, completing the final two quarters of a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University — and bringing both rigorous academic training and genuine personal investment to every client relationship.
Mel completed her practicum at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, where she worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. This formative experience strengthened her clinical foundation and deepened her dedication to compassionate, evidence-based care.
Mel brings a strong commitment to advocacy, inclusivity, and culturally responsive practice — with a particular passion for serving LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and chronically ill communities, communities she is proudly part of
