Graduate Intern

Mel (she/they) is a graduate counseling intern at Well Being Sanctuary, completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She offers affirming support to LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and chronically ill communities, and she brings lived experience to the work, not only training.

What working with Mel is like

Mel draws on ACT, CBT, REBT, and DBT, and on a clinical foundation built during her practicum at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, working with substance use and co-occurring conditions. She meets people as they are, with room for the whole of who you are.
